Our Pledge to “Put the ‘I’ in Health IT”
HealthCamp supports the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) and the campaign to put the “I” in Health IT.
HealthCamp is committed to Empowering Health Care Engagement so we have taken the “Non-Data Holders Pledge.”
Go to HealthIT.Gov and sign up and take the pledge yourself.
Non-Data Holders Pledge
We pledge to engage and empower individuals to be partners in their health through information technology.
We encourage you to use the materials available at www.healthit.gov as resources:
- We will engage out HealthCamp participants in a dialogue about health IT and the importance and value of consumer access to and use of electronic health information (including help understanding how to obtain access to this information and what type of information to request).
- We will continue to promote HealthCamp events that propagate the engagement message through social media.
- We will encourage and give visibility to innovative uses of electronic personal health information to improve health and health care.
- We will continue to convene public discussions bringing together providers, consumer groups, and patients/caregivers to discuss ways to use electronic health information to achieve community health goals.
