For the Data:Postluck we are looking for people and organizations with interesting and useful data sets to highlight their data and how it might be put to use.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>The slides follow a standard pattern:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Slide 1<\/strong>: What is the problem\/challenge<\/li>\n<li><strong>Slide 2<\/strong>: What are you doing to deal with the problem\/challenge<\/li>\n<li><strong>Slide 3<\/strong>: What don\u2019t you know \/ What did you discover \/ What do you need help with (you can cover any or all of these aspects)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Slide 4<\/strong>: Why did you take on this challenge (We have found so many entrepreneurs who are driven to address a health care problem by events that have impacted themselves, friends or family)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>If you are featuring a data set your slides can follow this pattern:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Slide 1:\u00a0<\/strong>What is your data set?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Slide 2:<\/strong>\u00a0What problem were you addressing when you created the data set<\/li>\n<li><strong>Slide 3: <\/strong>How would you like to see your data set used or enhanced?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Slide 4:<\/strong> What feedback would you like to receive about the data set?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>You may supply a cover slide that identifies:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Title of the presentation<\/li>\n<li>Presenter\u2019s Name and Organization<\/li>\n<li>Contact information (eg. email address)<\/li>\n<li>URL to slides (if posted on line eg. on Slideshare)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\u00a0The <strong>FOUR slides<\/strong> forming the presentation itself are to be presented in just <strong>FOUR minutes<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We allow <strong>ONE\u00a0minute<\/strong> for audience questions during the changeover to the next presenter.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>If there are more questions we encourage you and the participants to think about a potential break-out session during HealthCa.mp. This breakout session can be proposed at the collaborative\u00a0Agenda setting which follows the Firestarter talks.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3><em>When do Firestorm talks take place?<\/em><\/h3>\n<div>Firestarter talks take place as a One Hour slot immediately following the key note address. This is typically about 9:45am. The Firestarter talks precede the collaborative agenda setting. As a presenter they provide the opportunity to start conversations around topics that can be moved to break-out sessions when the agenda is created.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3><em>What can you put on the slides?<\/em><\/h3>\n<div>\u00a0You can include animation, video or audio \u2013 the only real hard and fast rule is the 4 minute time limit.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3><em>Do the slides have to be fancy or complex?<\/em><\/h3>\n<div>\u00a0<strong>No!<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>You can make the slides really simple. eg.<\/div>\n<div>Slide 1 \u2013 PROBLEM STATEMENT,<\/div>\n<div>Slide 2 \u2013 PLAN,<\/div>\n<div>Slide 3 \u2013 LESSONS LEARNED,<\/div>\n<div>Slide 4 \u2013 My story. You don\u2019t have to explain or include all the bullet points on the slide, instead you can simply speak to the slide titles during your presentation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3><em>What formats can you use for your presentation:<\/em><\/h3>\n<div>\u00a0You can provide your presentation in any of the following formats:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u2013 PDF<\/div>\n<div>\u2013 PowerPoint<\/div>\n<div>\u2013 Keynote<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; Google Slides<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3><em>When must slides be delivered?<\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>You may email your slides to <a href=\"mailto:mark@healthca.mp\">mark@healthca.mp<\/a>\u00a0to arrive BEFORE the day of the event.<\/li>\n<li>You may bring a thumb-drive with your presentation but please arrive early (Before 8:15am) so that your presentation can be loaded before the event starts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>\u00a0<em>Who can give\u00a0a\u00a0Firestarter Talk?<\/em><\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>\u00a0Firestarter talks are a feature that enables the innovative sponsors who are supporting\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/HealthCa.mp\" target=\"_blank\">HealthCa.mp<\/a>\u00a0to talk about the exciting innovations they are involved in. Priority will be given to sponsors for the available slots.
