Craig Schneider is coming to HealthCamp Boston

Please tell us a little about your day job.

I am Director of Healthcare Policy at the Massachusetts Health Data Consortium (web, twitter), and lead the convening, educational efforts, and projects that the organization conducts.  Our membership are the major health plans, hospitals, other providers, vendors, government agencies, and other stakeholders in the Massachusetts health IT community.

What are you passionate about?

Improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare, to help transform the system to one that is patient-centered and value-based.

What are you doing to “hack” health care?

Our approach is collaborative – to bring together the various stakeholders to address challenges and solve problems.

Why are you attending HealthCamp Boston?

The opportunity to dialogue with other representatives of the community to improve the healthcare system.

If you were to lead a session, what would it be about?

Technology and data are a means to an end – transformation to a better system
